http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8628 Setter methods not found Summary: Setter methods not found Product: Struts Version: Nightly Build Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT/2K Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Standard Actions AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have an application where numerous forms extend a base form. Some of these forms have fields with the same name, but whereas some forms will have setters for a particular field, other forms may not have a setter for the field of the same name. The first problem occurs when I forward from form 1 with property "A" to form 2 that also has a property called "A". Form 1 has a "setA()" method, but form 2 does not. The forward fails with an InvocationTargetException. The problem started when I started using one of the latest commons-beanutils nightly builds. The forward works fine with an older commons-beanutils build (sorry, forgot date on the older build.) This problem goes away if I do a redirect instead of a forward from form 1 to form 2. The second problem involves form 3. Forms 1 and 2 extend form 3. Form 3 has public "getB" and "setB" methods. Forwarding to either form 1 or form 2 fails with an InvocationTargetException - the method "setB" could not be found. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
