http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8487 Serializability issues in ActionServlet/RequestProcessor ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-07-23 18:05 ------- SRV.15.1.2 declares that HttpServlet implements Serializable. Therefore all classes that extend HttpServlet must also implement Serializable. ActionServlet extends HttpServlet. ActionServlet has a member variable (RequestProcessor processor) that is not Serializable and is not transient. It doesn't even appear as though you use the member variable, as all uses of the RequestProcessor flow through getRequestProcessor. Removing the member variable will resolve my issue with ActionServlet and I will then agree with you that there is a container issue with the ServletContext requiring attributes to be Serializable, and that if I want to use Struts with Weblogic 6.1 then I am out of luck. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
