My post was a knee-jerk reaction... I'm inheriphobic ;-) after patching some awful apps (ie. 21 subclasses of JButton!). Also thanks to Dave for mentioning interfaces - I never see enough of them. I think they're the best feature of the Java language. (Whoever still references Vectors and Hashtables instead of the interfaces: Lists and Maps should be ashamed...)
