Can I suggest that we comply with the request in the subject of Bugzilla messages, and not reply to these messages? IMHO, any follow-up to the bug reports should go into Bugzilla, so that it isn't lost. After all, we ask people to attach patches to their bug reports so that they don't get lost, so I think it's reasonable to have additional comments - especially rationale for fixing or not fixing - collected there too.
