I've gone ahead and added a "javascript" field to the TLD/userGuide and appropriate 
members to 
the CancelTag.java class.  Now, the rendering is by default done using the html submit 
method, 
but if the developer adds javascript="true", then the button will be rendered using a 
javascript 
button/hidden element combination.

This is shown in the above (latest) patch.
