http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=27051 PresentTag.java swallows JSPException when it should be thrown [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|Normal |Enhancement ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-02-19 19:02 ------- The code this method is calling seems to throw an exception if the bean is not present. So if all exceptions were not swallowed, it seems that the code would expose an exception rather than return false. I agree that the current approach is problematic. The caller needs to analyze the exceptions thrown and pass through those related to programmer and systemic error, like "no such method" or "illegal access". If someone supplies a patch that does this, I'd be happy to apply it. (Just be sure it is against the nightly build.) For now, I'm tagging the ticket as an enhancement. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
