Hi. The html:options tag handler (and other html tag handlers) uses ResponseUtils.filter to replace the characters '&', '>', '<' and '='. This filter method changes the string 'Ändern' to '&Auml;ndern'. For english text this may be a nice feature, but it prevents developers to use text in languages with special characters (like german). Is there a workaround or can anyone rewrite the filter method so that it only replaces single '&' characters and ignores character entities?
