The jars should match the same nights nightly build. I just moved the Struts Validator into the core a couple nights ago (struts-validator.jar unecessary). So if you are able to use the nightly binary, it will have all the jars you need in the lib directory. There are some changes to configuring the Validator. It is using the new PlugIn interface so you don't need the ValidatorServlet defined in the web.xml anymore. I need to add new documentation and some of the package names have changed. You can look at the Validator webapp for an example if you decide to do this or post questions.
