I think it's typical that most Un*x implementations of browsers don't 'behave as
nicely' with regard to JavaScript features as do Windows browsers.

Why? I don't know - seems to be a fact of life. It's not struts though - it's the
browser.

I don't like this either. However, javascript is there for convenience and should be
no substitute for server-side validation. My answer is always be sure you validate on
the server-side even if everything should have already been validated on the client.

Does anyone else have additional input?

Hope that help,

Eddie

Subject: Problem using onblur event on Solaris

  Hi,

I am facing a problem with the Struts 'onblur' tag on Solaris machine. It doesn't
seem to get fired on Solaris machine, while the same onblur event works fine on
Windows.
It would be great if anyone knows the reason for this problem or a work around.

  thanks,
  Meenakshi
