I have to agree with this. Struts is practical. That's why I use it. If any of you 
with Ph.D's are using it because of it's implementation of J2EE best practices and 
proven design patterns ... great! Use it to your academic heart's content. I'm using 
it because it over-delivers on solving my web application development problems! :-)

It now looks like a second team in our company will be using Struts for an upcoming 
project. The reason they are using it is because it helped solve my problems and 
they're smart enough to not want to have to solve those same problems again, 
themselves.
