It looks like you have a "run time" problem, where it cannot load the approproiate XmlDefinition class, I had encountered similar problem where everything would compile fine, but when I tried running the program I would get a "class Not Found" exception. I had to correct my "run time" classpath and include the approporiate jar file. Usually I use WebSphere IDE at work, so compilation and run time class paths are set by IDE, but for that particular program, I was just using standard java/javac combination.
I hope this helps, Khalid -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Grey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, January 03, 2003 2:28 PM To: Struts Users Mailing List Subject: RE: (http://jakarta.apache.org/struts/tags-tiles-1.1) cannot be resolved My log file doesn't have healthy messages like that - only things like this: 2003-01-03 09:56:26,028 INFO [org.jboss.web.localhost.Engine] WebappLoader[/conductor]: Deploy JAR /WEB-INF/lib/struts.jar to /u01/jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.1.12/tomcat-4.1.x/work/MainEngine/localhost/co nductor/WEB-INF/lib/struts.jar 2003-01-03 09:56:26,440 INFO [org.jboss.web.localhost.Engine] WebappLoader[/conductor]: Deploy JAR /WEB-INF/lib/tiles.jar to /u01/jboss-3.0.4_tomcat-4.1.12/tomcat-4.1.x/work/MainEngine/localhost/co nductor/WEB-INF/lib/tiles.jar Then error messages: 2003-01-03 09:56:56,114 ERROR [org.apache.commons.digester.Digester] Begin event threw exception java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for: org.apache.struts.tiles.xmlDefinition.XmlDefinition 2003-01-03 09:56:56,161 ERROR [org.jboss.web.localhost.Engine] action: Tiles Factory load fail ! org.apache.struts.tiles.DefinitionsFactoryException: Error while parsing file '/WEB-INF/tilesDefinitions.xml'.
