This would be cool except for the fact that mail-archive employs the most horrible search algorithm I've ever seen. My search results are always bloated.
>From their own FAQ: " Searches span all archived messages in a particular mailing list. All words entered in the search box are required for a match. Boolean logic and phrase matching are not supported. " ...and that's not even true, because I frequently get back results that only have one of the search terms I entered. The archives have become effectively useless to me in the past month or so. --joe > -----Original Message----- > From: Kandi Potter [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 7:58 AM > To: Struts Users Mailing List > Subject: RE: Searching the Archives? > > > http://www.mail-archive.com/struts-user%40jakarta.apache.org/ > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jason Vinson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 10:52 AM > To: Struts Users Mailing List > Subject: Searching the Archives? > > > I feel dumb for asking this, but I am trying to search the > list archives via: > > http://nagoya.apache.org/eyebrowse/SearchList?listId=&listName [EMAIL PROTECTED]&searchText=bean+attributes&defaultField=subject&Search=Search and when i do a search, it returns "Text search not available for this list". Where should i look for proper archive searching?
