That is the weird thing is that there really is no error it just doesn't shutdown. I am in debug mode. We may move to Tomcat 4.1.18 as time permits. Does Tiles register itself with tomcat? It almost seems like tomcat gets the shutdown command notifies any client, tiles perhaps, and tiles ignores it.
