I'm using JBoss with integrated Tomcat 4.1 (on linux). In the JBoss log I see:Jboss has its own log4j config file. It is used container-wise, so you should configure that.
It is checked every minute, and reloaded the logging if changed.
I cannot remember the name, maybe log4j-config.xml in the conf dir.
