Hi, I have a simple, sample stocktrack app (war file) from the Struts Kick Start Book (James Turner/Kevin Bedell). It uses Struts (of course), Torque, MySQL, and Tomcat. I installed and followed its instructions. I was able to bring up the app, but when the form submitted, somehow the app couldn't talk to MySQL. I believed I got JDBC installed correctly (download mysql-connector-java-3.0.9-stable and copied its jar file to /stocktrack/WEB-INF/lib and jdkxxx/lib/jre/ext.) I am able to do anything w/ Mysql client/server via ODBC, tools, etc.
Is there someone want to give it a try to find out why ? If you're having Tomcat and MySQL running on your Windows 2000, to install and bring this app up requires only 2 simple steps, run a sql script to init/load in some tables, and put the deploy the war file under webapps (it has all the libs needed for the app). That's all. Please let me know and I will send you the war file and sql scripts w/ instructions.
