I've started using XFCE as my DE, as it was easier than rolling my own panels etc. Everything's working well but the notifications. I do want the notifications, as they can be handy, but currently they pop up in the middle of the screen and steal focus. The problem is I don't know how to target them for the purposes of *deny-raise-request* or *deny-map-request* (I'm also not sure that's the proper method of handling the problem).
Ideally I'd like to make the notifications appear in the top right corner, and to be shown on top of the current window without stealing focus. Is that possible? This is what `xwininfo' shows me for the notifications: xwininfo: Window id: 0xe00023 "xfce4-notifyd" Absolute upper-left X: 1927 Absolute upper-left Y: 465 Relative upper-left X: 0 Relative upper-left Y: 0 Width: 306 Height: 70 Depth: 24 Visual: 0x21 Visual Class: TrueColor Border width: 0 Class: InputOutput Colormap: 0x20 (installed) Bit Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Window Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Backing Store State: NotUseful Save Under State: no Map State: IsViewable Override Redirect State: no Corners: +1927+465 -487+465 -487-365 +1927-365 -geometry 306x70+1926+464 Slightly unrelatd _______________________________________________ Stumpwm-devel mailing list Stumpwm-devel@nongnu.org https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/stumpwm-devel
