Mark,
It could be an SSL version mismatch between the client and the server.
You need to upgrade the client to support a latest version of SSL, check
supported protocol version – sslVersion - in your configuration file and
reload stunnel. SSLv3 are currently disabled by default in the latest
version of stunnel. You can enable it in the option, if is necessary.
