Experience and Skills Requirements: - Typically requires a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, eg; electrical/electronic. - 6 - 8 years of communication engineering experience with wire based systems (copper, fiber) and radio systems (mobile, microwave, wireless) communication; or eight years with a professional engineering license, or MSEE with emphasis on Telecommunication systems. - Broad perspective of the utility business and thorough knowledge of concepts and systems in the communications area. - Working knowledge of all applicable policies, rules, regulations, and codes in the communications engineering field. - Working knowledge of telemetry, data acquisition, line share devices, line protection equipment. - Great oral and written communication skills. - Effective group presentation skills. - Good human relations skills. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of PC and productivity software - Email, MS Office, MS Project, Visio.
