*Position: WebSphere/WebLogic Admin w/ JBOSS Location: Baltimore, MD* *Duration: 7 Month Contract w/ possible extensions* *Rate: $40-42/hr (Not Negotiable)* * * *Note: Need someone from East Coast who can do in-person interview after telephonic…..* * * Middleware (JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere) Administration The systems administrator/engineer manages the implementation and support of JBoss/WebLogic/WebSphere across multiple applications. Individuals in this role serve as a liaison between Operations, Infrastructure and Application Development regarding the implementation and maintenance of the environments, evolves existing processes to effect support for both development and production environments, monitors log files, performance issues and the production environment for mission critical systems. The individual in this role should have an understanding of the functionality of the business area applications and assists in tailoring the environment to meet the users' needs. Works with the infrastructure and development teams, participating in and validating technology decisions. Deploy, manage, monitor and maintain J2EE Enterprise Middleware. This is not a development role. Provide 2nd and 3rd level escalation and rotating on-call support This individual will function as one of the subject matter experts for the middleware environment. - Experience with J2EE application server administration, design and installation. - Unix/Linux administration. - Moderate scripting skills: Any of Shell Scripting, Java/JScript, XML, PERL, etc. - Experience designing logical and physical infrastructure layout.Application and data flow diagrams. - Effective interpersonal and communication skills - Hands on experience with Jboss, WebLogic or WebSphere - Experience troubleshooting Jboss, WebLogic or WebSphere in a production environment # of Years Required: - 7 to 8 years of applicable/related experience or 4 years equivalent experience and 4-year degree in Computer-related field *EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS DESIRED: * - Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture - Basic understanding of TCP/IP Networks - Basic understanding of load balancing and firewalls - Understanding of high availability solutions/technologies - Document processes and procedures supporting this role *Thanks & Regards,* Alex Rodriguez** Account Manager Data Group, Inc.
