I'd use both, until there are other suggestions about how to handle email overload for people who are working on activities but not sugar (save to package the result). The activities list is pretty specific, and was started because of people who couldn't read all of the traffic on sugar but wanted to stay in touch with other activity develoeprs (many of whom have no idea about sugar internals). as long as activity devs are getting the feedback they need somewhere...
