(the machine was rebooted for every test)

first launch (after restarting rainbow):

                703 2181 (2181/703)%
-------------------------------------------
write 12. 8.5 -29
read 11.3 7.1 -37
pippy 10. 5. -50
chat 8.5 4. -53
browse 16.8 15.1 -10
record 15.9 16. +1
calculate 11.75 8.4 -29

It seems there is some extra overhead for the first activity launched;
so timings in the past mail aren't fair to etoys, new timings are:
etoys 13.3 13.2 -1

First launch timings (after restarting rainbow) when the
launchbox isn't animated (activity's icon doesn't pulse):

                2181-NoAnim (2181-NA/2181)%
-------------------------------------------
terminal 6.3 -14
write 6.5 -24
read 4.6 -35
pippy 4.2 -16
chat 3.1 -22
browse 10.1 -23
record 11.4 -29
calculate 6.5 -23
etoys 12.9 -2

thanks
