You can avoid this type of lateral sliding by setting vType attribute lcMaxSpeedLatStanding="0". (see https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Definition_of_Vehicles,_Vehicle_Types,_and_Routes.html#lane-changing_models ) However, in the latest release there is an issue where this can cause vehicles to become stuck at the end of a lane. To avoid this problem, you can download the latest development version *tomorrow* (todays version does not yet include the fix).
