Hi,

“The default car-following model used in SUMO is a modification of the model
defined by Stefan Krauß in Microscopic Modeling of Traffic Flow: Investigation
of Collision Free Vehicle Dynamics<http://sumo.dlr.de/pdf/KraussDiss.pdf>“. In
the SUMO Wiki you can find more information about this and other implemented
car-following models as well as about the Lane-changing model and the
Intersection model use in SUMO:

https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Simulation/VehicleSpeed.html

https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Definition_of_Vehicles,_Vehicle_Types,_and_Routes.html#car-following_models

If you are interested in using your own model, you can take a look at the
following links:

Giuliana
