Dear Mohit,

you can customise how vehicles are displayed by providing a bitmap for each
vehicle type (see vType attribute imgFile
<https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Definition_of_Vehicles%2C_Vehicle_Types%2C_and_Routes.html#vehicle_types>

). There is the option to display a text next to the vehicle, too, using
generic parameters
<https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Simulation/GenericParameters.html> and choosing
one parameter in the visualisation settings. The latter solution is limited
to single vehicles, though, as parameter key-value pairs defined in the
vehicle type are not taken into account.

Best regards
Mirko

Hi there,

I am wondering if we can show vehicle type along with the vehicle symbol in
the SUMO GUI? I want to show different vehicle types such as e-bike,
e-scoter, e-car, etc, in the GUI, as shown in the screenshot attached.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Kind regards,
Mohit
