Dear Felipe, I added the --start option to my command and it solved my problem. But when I tried running traci_test2.m there was another error saying that vehicle 'right_10' is not recognized, I changed it to 'left_0' and I could run traci_test2.m and get the figures of lane occupancy. ( I have installed sumo-0.23.0 on ubuntu 15.10.) Thanks a lot.
