Dear SUMO users,
because of several requests the SUMO conference committee decided to accept full papers for the SUMO conference 2016 until Wednesday 9th March 2016. Please find the Call for papers below. Good luck and we hope to meet you at the conference! Your SUMO conference team SUMO User Conference 2016 - Traffic, Mobility, and Logistics (May 23-25, 2016) Traffic simulations are of immense importance for researchers as well as practitioners in the field of transportation. SUMO has been available since 2001 and provides a wide range of traffic planning and simulation applications. SUMO consists of a suite of tools covering road network imports and enrichment, demand generation and assignment and a state-of-the-art microscopic traffic simulation capable to simulate private and public transport modes, as well as person-based trip chains. Being open source, SUMO is ready to implement new behavioral models or to control the simulation remotely using various programming environments. These and other features make SUMO one of the most often used open source traffic simulations with a large and international user community. *Call for Papers* The conference aims on presenting new and unique results in the field of mobility simulation and modelling using openly available tools and data. We expect a large variety of research topics and usage approaches. If you are doing a research project fitting the topics below you are kindly invited to submit an abstract. Possible areas of interest include (but are not limited to): - Traffic Simulation - Logistics Simulation - Mobility Modelling - Intermodal Transport - Traffic Applications - Traffic Management Solutions - Vehicular Communication - Modelling Urban Mobility - Open Tools and Open Data - E-Mobility *Deadline* Authors are requested to register at Easy Chair https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sumo2016. All accepted papers will be printed and published in the SUMO proceedings in the scientific series of the DLR Institute of Transportation Systems. The *full paper versions *of papers must be submitted in PDF format before *midnight, Wednesday, 9th of March 2016*. Submitters will receive feedback by Friday, 1st of April 2016. The final papers should be *between 5 and 20 pages long*. For the final version of the paper we need also the LaTeX files of the paper. *Language* The conference language is English. *Prices* - Regular Tickets – 400 EUR (One-Day-Ticket – 250 EUR) - Authors and Project Partners – 250 EUR - "limited" Student Grants - 50 EUR The registration fee includes a two day conference program with refreshments, lunch, proceedings and social events in the evening. Accommodation is not included within the registration fee and must be pre-booked separately. *Keynote Speaker* *Prof. Dr. Björn Scheuermann* Björn Scheuermann is a Professor and Chair of Computer Engineering at Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. His research focus on the design of computer and network systems. Prof. Scheuermann is specialized for example in communication systems for improving the efficiency of road traffic and distributed Algorithms for the efficient collection of data traffic statistics. *Venue* German Aerospace Center Institute of Transportation Systems Rutherfordstr. 2 12489 Berlin Germany *Contact* Please contact the conference team via mail at [email protected].
