Good day to all, 
I have a question regarding the involvement of the tau parameter within the IDM 
car-following model. Documentation states that the tau parameter is the 
reaction time or the min time gap that drivers attempt to maintain. My question 
is since the IDM does not take into account reaction time within its equations, 
would tau instead refer to the value known as desired safe time headway, T?
