You have two options for influencing that distance
- via TraCI by issuing explicit lane-changing or relocating commands
- via parameters of the lane-changing model (setting a custom value for
lcKeepRight, see
http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Definition_of_Vehicles,_Vehicle_Types,_and_Routes#Lane-Changing_Models
)
