In response to Uncle John's request, I am re-posting the advice given a couple of months ago.
I would recommend Mapblast! at <http://www.mapblast.com>. Besides producing great maps, they give the latitude and longitude of the specified site. By moving the icon on detailed maps to your backyard, you can get a readout to 5 decimal places! You can specify country, city, street address, postal code, telephone exchange or Lat/Long and get a map. Detailed maps are available for USA and Canada. World maps have recently been added, so you can specify countries and major cities and get maps and co-ordinates. Roger Bailey
