Weir  (or Weir's) Diagram is combined  of the family
of  latitude  elipses  and the family of local hour angle hyperboles.
It enables to convert data from polar coordinates to
horizontal. Specially useful is for finding azimuth  because
of the error 1 or 2 degees which  is not of essential  value
during azimuth  measurement.

Lord Kelvin said  that the diagram ``is the neatest  thing of its 
kind ever produced''
