Hi diallists,

There is an interesting example of the interior wall dial
in Olsztyn (Poland). The dial was designed by Copernicus
who lived there for some years.
In fact that dial isthe only original Copernicus' instrument
which was preserved to our times.
T. Przypkowski, the diallist and the astronomy historian
proved that the dial was designed for a precise equinox
determining.

I know also an example of stained glass dial in Poland.
The dial is now in the palace in Wilanow,
situated in the southern suburb of Warsaw but the original
destination was for the royal castle in the Warsaw.
The dial was designed in 1788 in Paris
by Jean Francois Richer.

Best regards
