I am easily able to limit the size of a message that my browser will fetch (using Netscape). So I set it at a low limit and then it just blocks any long messages. Also, it reads enough of the message so that I know who sent it, and it allows me to request the rest of it if I want it. I use this all the time on other mailing lists which are not so well managed as this one.
So I wonder if this is also available on other browsers - in which case the message size is not so important? (In Netscape see Edit/Preferences/Mail & NewsGroups/Disk Space - first item). Thanks, - Ben Hoffmann
