I would like to know what problems may be anticipated in the construction of a large (4m x 4m) vertical sundial ? I believe any errors in the calculation of the wall's declination will be magnified by having a large dial?
would it be wise thus to use analemmas to derive the civil time/ ?Is a normal triangular gnomon good? In this case it has to project around 60cm out from a limestone wall.
