The turning globe (or simply the northern hemisphere) should be inside the house and should be the key part of a solar clock, showing the eastward turning planet , thus enabling the observer to read L.A.T. around the planet against a clock face. But the movement of the globe should be checked from time to time against Earth's own speed. That was my idea. I should have told you, I know. Heiner
