I'm looking for examples of dials that will illuminate a particular spot on the dial only on the date (and time of day, preferably) to be commemorated...
At the 2003 NASS Conference in Banff, Helm Roberts described his work as architect of the Kentucky Vietnam Veteran's Memorial. Helm designed this large horizontal dial so that the shadow of the tip of the gnomon touches the engraved name of each fallen veteran on the anniversary of his death.
