Hello All:
Just thought I'd let you know about the major additions and improvements Dave Bell & I have made to the Painted Wall Sundials website at http://advanceassociates.com/WallDial/PWS_Home.html 1. Image Archive Page: We now have posted 416 sundial photos from fourteen countries and thirty-eight different websites. Many people have sent us their original high resolution photos. In many cases, the photos we have are better than the ones on the websites where they originally appear. Over one hundred of them are not on any other websites and come from people's private photo collections. (i.e. List member and expert photographer, Mike Cowham sent us 70 photos that he has collected in his travels around Europe. Thanks Mike!) Also, for your enjoyment, Dave has added a flash slide show of the entire photo collection! 2. Design & Construction Page: This page describes how to design and make PWS. There are links to great sites that describe the fresco painting technique. 3. Commissioning Page: There are links to both sundial designers & makers as well as links to artists and muralists. 4. Information & References Page: Nearly our entire photo collection is fully documented with links back to the original websites, information about the dials, and permission from the photo owners. Hope you enjoy what we have done. John & Dave
