Ken

the advice to look for an armillary dial is wise. Horizontal garden dials are
made for one or two generic latitudes and can be ocrrected by tilting to the
north or south around the east/west axis.

Portable dials made in India are seriously flawed, although you may find other
sources in other countries making dials that cannot be corrected.

Go to my web page and look at "WHAT NOT TO BUY", and "WHAT TO DO NOW YOU HAVE
BOUGHT IT". Or words to that effect. And I link to the other known pamphlets
other sites have on this issue.

One vendor told me regarding a beautiful dial that ciuld never be accurate at
any latitude, that in many years he had never had a complaint and he wasnt
going to change his business now.
