I wrote houses when I meant circles. I still believe that the eastern half of the horizon circle corresponds to Domifying Circle #1. As soon as the sun crosses that circle (at sunrise) it is in House #12 (as you say). It stays in that house until it crosses circle #12. The number on each circle marks the END of a house not the beginning. I am rather sympathetic to Regiomontanus astrology! At the time of one's birth, the position of the sun relative to the horizon must be at least as important as its position in the ecliptic!! Any Regiomontanus astrologers reading this will be interested to know that I was born in DOM XI :-)) I am very impressed by the Görlitz dial. Many thanks for reminding me about this one.
