Hi Mac,

I don't have a netbook, but I had a similar problem on my desktop PC's
attached monitor. Just thought I might tell you this in case it helps...

On a desktop PC with a separate attached monitor, one can adjust the screen
resolution either by changing the monitor video scaling settings which are
built into the monitor itself, or by changing the graphics card display
settings which are built into the PC. Changing the monitor's video scaling
settings DID NOT fix the Delta Cad stretching/compression problem. But I was
able to easily fix it by leaving the monitor at its native video scaling
settings, and changing the graphics card display control panel resolution
settings.

But since a netbook has a built-in monitor, it might only have graphics card
display settings and no separate monitor settings.

Try this: If you have Windows 7, Right click on blank area of desktop, click
on "resolution", and then play with the resolutions on that page.

Subject: Distorted DeltaCad

Hello Friends,

I purchased one of the new netbooks (Acer Aspire One, 10.1 inch,
WinXP) to use with dialing activities. I like the small size and
light weight (although I wish my fingers weren't so thick) and it
seems to run the dialing software I use most (The Dialist's
Companion, ZW2000, QBasic). However, the DeltaCad display is
distorted on the wide screen. For instance, circles appear as
ellipses on the screen, although a printout looks OK.

I've tried adjusting the monitor resolution and refresh rate without
relief. A trip to the Acer website and a lengthy "chat" with a
company representative didn't help. I'm hoping that someone on this
list may have solved a similar problem involving distorted DeltaCad
displays on a wide screen and can offer some advice.

Thanks for any suggestions.
