Dear Richard,
Thanks so much for this information. I've been using Macs since 1985
and much of my computer output (including lots of sundial work) was
done with ClarisWorks and AppleWorks. About a year ago I downloaded
and installed an Apple recommended "security" upgrade which made
AppleWorks unusable. I complained to Apple and got the unexpected
response (eventually) of another security upgrade which restored
AppleWorks. But, it's only a matter of time before some other Apple
"improvement" will destroy AppleWorks or another favorite older
program.
I'm for progress and I'm very excited by the expanding 3D printer
revolution. However, we should be able to move forward without
recklessly and unnecessarily destroying the past.
Bset wishes,
Mac Oglesby
Simulators, such as "Sheep Shaver" are available that allow you to
run old versions of Mac OS and their software under newer OS
versions. See,.e.g.,

Hi Barry,
What a kindly thought! What I imagined to be a
MacDraw file of my mini equatorial turned out to be just a later
ClarisDraw sheet of just setting-up instructions.
I don't think the MacDraw files/icons even appear on my iMac Snow
Leopard desktop anymore?? I'll keep looking and may be back to you.
There are many things I LOVE about Apple Computers and a few that I
HATE!! ;-( How dare they make me consign hundreds of hours careful
work to the trash.
Thanks again,
Tony

Hi Tony,
If you would like to send the files to me, I may be able to convert
them to a more accessible format.

The drawings and artwork were on MacDraw Pro which no longer
functions for me or I'd send you some.
