I haven't seen Tarantella's Secure Global Desktop (www.tarantella.com) or ThinSoft's WinConnectS (www.thinsoftinc.com) mentioned yet. They are two other terminal services clients we've tested. I believe that Tarantella supports load balancing, so that may be an advantage to some. Performance wise, Rdesktop and WinConnect won out by a long shot for us. Performance between these two varried by the application, but as Rdesktop was free and WinConnect very far from it, we ended up going with Rdesktop for our production servers. > 4. It sounds like you're on the right track. Definately be sure to use the latest Rdesktop version. With that you can export audio from the terminal server, do device redirection (USB devices on Sun Ray can be accessed through the terminal server, for example), and it supports compression, high color, and directly openning specific apps. Also, if you are using Sun Rays with various resolutions, you may want to write a little script-fu to open your windows at the proper resolution each time.
