is there a workaround to this problem problem ?

There is no workaround. The fix requires a change to the kernel driver.

does anyone know when can we expect the first srss 3.0 patch ? shall we expect to see a patch that will add support for solaris 10 or there
will be another srss 3.x release ? any beta versions ?

The first 3.0 patch should be out in a couple of weeks but it will not
contain the fix for this or for other problems that occur only on S10.
The patch bosses decided that delivering the handful of changes that are needed to allow SRSS to run on S10 posed too much of a risk. (Patches get much less testing than full releases, so either the S10 changes would be only partially exercised or this patch would have been delayed by many weeks while it went through a full QA test cycle on S10. Neither of those alternatives was palatable so the S10 fixes
were not allowed into the patch.)

The plan for S10 support is now that it will be delivered in the next SRSS release. An early-access download of that release should be available in May.

hello Otto,

very useful information - thank you for your answer! what about the plans for a solaris x86 port - is it possible that the next release will include a x86 srss port?

greetings,

Stoyan
