We're not using the Directory Server at this point (this is just the POC).  Any hints as to what to do with this script? (ie. where does it go, what does it do, etc...)

Hi Jeff

If you are running SunOne Directory Server, there is a AD <-> LDAP sync
tool. Otherwise, as script .....

Subject: [SunRay-Users] USB, ports, logouts and AD

I'm still working on the setup for my Windows backend sunray
implementation and have a few questions to help prepare for the
install
that will happen near the end of this week:

1. How do I disable USB capability for the SunRays? (turn off vold?
or
something like that?) Is there any way for Solaris to recognize
when
someone has plugged a device into one of the SunRay USB ports? It
would
be great if we could setup some sort of notification as that is
what the
customer has on their windows desktop PCs.

2. I know how to get the Windows session to come up when a user
logs in,
but is there anyway to get the Solaris session to logout when the
user
logs out of Windows? This is all via rDesktop. Doing this would
take any
user interaction with Solaris out of the picture making the
solution
seem less layered.

3. What ports need to be opened in the firewall that will separate
the
thin-clients from the servers to allow X to go back and forth.

4. How do I syncronize the LDAP on the Solaris box with Active
Directory
on the customers site?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Jeff
