I setup the SRS3u1a on S10 with utadm -a bge1, and created a Sunray/DHCP environment on bge1. My Sun Ray connected immediately when placed on the local subnet. Reconfiguring SRS3 to accept incoming connections from my home-lan, I'm again stuck with black screen and the green newt. Even though I have an old firmware on the Sun Ray, I know it can connect to the server when on the local subnet, but from home I still get this error-message in Xerrors:

info (pid 561): Rebuilding default language list from /usr/lib/locale

Fri Jun 17 17:38:44 2005
info (pid 561): Rescanning both config and servers files
read(eventSocket...: Connection refused
Reading newt events: Connection refused
render write: Connection refused
Server pid 3790
WANT_NOSIGNALS(socket): Invalid argument
Closed connection due to sync errors (pid 3790)

Can it be that since I have an old Firmware, I can only connect from the local subnet and not remotely? Is it possible to manually force the firmware update onto this old sunray when connected to my home-lan?

Also, when I had it connected on the local subnet, I got my correct locale (Norwegian) but the keyboard was still default english - when logging in on the SunFire server on the console, I get the norwegian keyboard. Why doesn't the Sun Ray server honor this setting, and how can I change it?

Sincerely,
Edvin Syse
Norway
