Aaron,
Apologies for making my previous mailing off-list as this was
unintentional. If you are able to get hold of the setup on how to do
this that would be great
Thanks
Paul

Hi,
In another posting someone mentioned it was possible to set up a
seamless windows environment on Sunrays without a *nix window manager.
Rather than ask in that thread I was wondering if you need something
like Citrix or Tarantella to do that. Up to know I had been looking at
rdesktop but was not sure how seamless you could make that
Thanks
Paul
Paul,
"This was the quote which I had taken verbatim from another posting. I
took it to mean the Sun Rays appearing as
Windows clients only eg. 2003 TS clients with the Solaris 10 o/s
completely hidden from the end user"
So from our off list discussions you want a SunRay session to boot
straight into a fullscreen ICA/rdesktop client.
I have done this before to emulate NCD/HP thin clients. This of course
adds the bonus of roaming sessions.
The only problem here is that my setup was for demonstration purposes
only. It has now been scrapped.
I remember using CAM (Controlled Access Mode) and some preconfigured ICA
client .ini files.
I can try and dig up the solution if you want. How soon do you need an
answer?
Cheers,
Aaron
