Hello,
After following the SunRay Debian guide, particularly the xkbinstall
section, I have two problems with the keyboard mapping.
1. Left ALT key doesn't work - the Left and Right META keys (diamonds)
have the ALT key functionality
2. Right Shift doesn't work
Please be verbose with any suggested solutions as the world of X &
keyboards is somewhat complex.
I had this problem. I didn't remember the xkbinstall script (I will go
back and make sure I ran it) but I found a
workaround which involves clearing out all of the Gnome keyboard
shortcuts using the tool located here :
System->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts
I tested with KDE and did not find any problems and the WDM login prompt
was not a problem either so
Gnome was the culprit.
Good luck.
Cheers,
Aaron
