You're right... these have an older firmware which cannot talk on shared networks.

You need to update their firmware.

Pick an SRSS server with 2 interfaces... configure one of the interfaces using "utadm -a intfname" and then use a corssover cable or switch to hook up the Sun Ray's.

They will update and then you can put them on your shared network.
