A warranty period of five years for model 100? Could it be three years? Usually the power adapter is broken, due to heat. You can try to get a mini 3,3/5 V dual power adapter. Or try to unfasten the little motherboard and connect it with an ordinary computer power. In both situations it is more like a hobby project than a regular solution.
