I will have to really look at it the next time one freezes. I have student techs that go out to the devices. I was running kiosk mode with Mozilla published as a Critical App, and rdesktop as a Menu app.

Last week I changed to new hardware, and I am now running a java application that has buttons on it to open Firefox and Windows via uttsc. It seems to have slowed way down since the change, but not really enough time to tell for sure.

I am not sure what OSD is, I think that is the boot up menu. But really nothing comes up the screen just freezes.

Troy,

Does the keyboard respond at all? Like numlock/caps lock?, Ctrl moon? What happens if you unplug/replug in the usb cables.

What are you running in kiosk mode?

Does the OSD come up before this state happens?

I have about 100 thin clients distributed across various sub-nets and buildings on a small college campus. I have 2 such areas where thin clients will "freeze" and I will have to terminate session from the web gui. I have 100mb dedicated switch ports and about 1/2 of the switches have gig fiber back to the core switch. Anyone else have trouble with freezing clients?

I guess I should explain more, by freezing I mean the keyboard is useless, the mouse will move around the screen, but can't click or right click to reboot.
thanks
