I'm not speaking for Joe, and personally would have preferred a
firewire/1394/iLink port. But to directly answer your question, when plugging
in an iPod, or other MP3 media player, close to 100 Mb of data transfer sure
beats the 12 Mb transfer rate of USB 1.1?
Regardless, I have had a request for quote to my reseller to get a 2FS as soon
as they are available.

Why is that by the way?
Just curious since you'd never be able to write @ USB 2.0 speeds over
the network anyhow. Even on a PC things like drive mapping to Citrix or
RDP typically on write in the sub 100 Kbps range.
Do you have (or know of any) USB 2.0 only devices (which according to
the USB spec would be illegal since they should all be backwards
compatible).

Yeah - I just wish the "smaller" version was USB2.0

Much nicer looking than the 1g's. We have found the stands break a
lot on the 1g when people push the device back in. This looks like
an integrated stand. And USB port on the front will be nice as well.
